We all have bad days... We have those days where we are frustrated with family, friends, but mostly work... We all have those days where it feels nothing is going right and the world is out to get us... But, we know, in reality, that isn't true...

But, am I the only one who, to get out of that funk, puts on Disney music to help with the mental state??? I am sure I can't be the only one here on this site...

If I have a bad day at work, I come home and put YouTube on my TV... I will watch Disney videos, including live streams, podcasts, or attraction videos... I love Disney Parks series of live streaming videos, especially the sun rising for all four WDW theme parks... I especially love watching the Must Do's or the video capture of the resort channels... I will put on iTunes and play songs my from personal Disney collection... I try to get lost in the Florida sun/heat and let my mind take me away, strolling down Main Street USA. seeing the Castle in the background... Or walking through the "jungle" and into the open with Tree of Life just ahead of me... Or Spaceship Earth and the great Epcot music playing in the background...

My newest go to on iTunes is the music from Pandora and Rivers of Light in Animal Kingdom... Pandora has some of the best, most relaxing background music, and even though I find the Rivers of Light show boring, the music is great...

So, after having a bad day or just feeling down, what is your Disney go to???

Especially lately, WDW music has been my go-to. My favs are the original Soarin', Tapestry of Nations, Illuminations, the Boardwalk loop, Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade (always makes me smile), Golden Dream, and Main Street Electrical Parade.

There's nothing like WDW music to brighten even the worst day.

The last few days, no WEEKS, of work has been torture... I am off Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... I think 72 hours of Disney music is going to be theraputic...

Enjoy your three days off. We were doing skills day for my new job and I put on a Disney music play list. Pretty soon, we were all bouncing along to Bare Necessities.

To paraphrase William Congreve...."Disney has charms to soothe the savage breast"

When you can leave the "real" world behind, it is a soothing and peaceful place....One might say "magical." LOL

I suffer from chronic tension headaches that can turn to migraines. Ugh!!! When a migraine hits, it's lie down, dark room, cold cloth on head and headphones in with soft WDW park music. I find "Fritterin'" which is the Main St tune particularly good, As it plays I imagine walking down towards the castle, Emporium on the left, sweet shop on the right, coming up to Casey's..... you get the idea. By the time CD 1 is done the migraine is a dull ache which I can function reasonably well with ( years of practice unfortunately )

I keep a WDW play list on my iTunes library on all my devices.

Drove into work this afternoon listening to Share A Dream Come True parade music... Never realized I actually do enjoy the music... Used to annoy me but it's not too bad... I like Festival of Fantasy better though... Got to get that music up on my iPod now...

I used to put on Disney music regularly, but haven't in a long time. I'll have to get back to it! I often look at pictures from WDW trips to decompress.

In this weird twist of events, I am running my area by myself even though I'm on orientation. It's a little stressful, so I have the Animal Kingdom music loop playing on my computer. :)

Going back years when I needed to relax (particularly around exam time at University) I would watch Disney YouTube videos, my favourite go-to videos would be ones riding the Monorail or the Railroad on full screen to try to soak in the atmosphere. Now I am driving I also keep our old WDW CD (I think from 2001?) in the car and use it to make long journeys less stressful.

A more recent discovery for us was a Facebook Page "World of Walt" who does a weekly stream in one of the parks - I can only assume he has an annual pass! He will have a Fastpass for a ride each week and walk through the park to this ride before catching his Fastpass. Often we enjoy the walking through the park (especially when it's MK) as much as the ride as we have all the sights and sounds of Disney around us. Great way to unwind after a long week. :mickey:
