Late August trip - surprisingly light crowds!

We just got back from our 2nd trip during late August. This trip the crowds were much lighter than I remember them being last time. It was awesome!! Everything was navigable, the cafe at the resort, all the parks, the QS at the parks, only a couple of crazy wait times for the newest rides. Even watching fireworks at the MK we had plenty of elbow room! The downside was dealing with the rain, especially on our water park day, but otherwise - wow! So pleased with crowd levels. :mickey:

Late August is one of our favourite times to go - glad to hear the crowds were so good, they can be hit or miss.

Thanks Cinderelley. It was a much needed immersion in Disney fun. We've had a very rough 2018. The girls had to say goodbye to two grandmas just a couple months apart (DH's mom & step-mom). We also lost a very beloved pet. We've had good things happening too, but the losses have just been brutal.

That does sound brutal. Saying goodbye to one is bad enough. Hopefully the trip put a little joy into your hearts that probably have empty holes in them.

It was like a big one-two punch! And it's the first time the girls have experienced losing someone. The Disney trip did give us joy! We are very, very grateful.

We were there too. Lighter crowds and ponchos at the ready. One small MK fireworks delay for about 20 minutes but otherwise good.
