The will be going up in Magic Kingdom starting November 1st. They will be complete at MK by the 8th for the first Christmas party

Christmas is so special at WDW. My gf said it's like walking through a postcard.

will there be any up by Sunday Oct 4 at the resorts or Monday the 5th at parks

No Christmas decoration until after November 1st. The resorts will not have stuff up until around November 15th. The gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian starts to go up the first week of November but is usually not complete until between November 15 - 17th. Depending on when filming is this year for the holiday specials will depend on how fast they get the decorations up in the other parks. MK will be fully decorated by November 8th for the first Christmas party.
