I love the Headless Horseman. I wish he still galloped though instead of trotting.

Love that video! We went to a party in 2011. When we planned this trip, no way did it occur to us that we'd have an opportunity to do another party. We are SO going and SO geeked about it - August or not.

That's what we thought too, but we still went! Autumn in August! It was sold out but still well worth the extra $$$. We walked on to nearly every attraction. Space Mountain was the longest at 15 minutes, some were 5 to 10 minutes but still got lots done. The fireworks were spectacular!

We were there right before Irma hit last September ... he did gallop past us, then stopped, turned around a few times ... it was the best, coolest thing I have ever seen at Disney World !!!

I'll never forget how awesome it was to see him gallop down Main Street when I was 10. I wish he still galloped instead of strolling on by - he's supposed to be menacing! But how awesome to see it again.

They stopped for safety reasons (and I don't blame them)

True! I bet PETA had their eyes on Disney.

I believe this changed the night the horse took a scary fall on slick cobblestones one night. He was going at top speed and then everyone heard a big SLAP as he hit the ground. Poor thing! Luckily he and the rider weren't hurt.

It was. There's a video of him falling (which I refuse to watch). It's also why they don't ride if it's raining (or if the ground is very wet)
