The Magic Kingdom has announced a third Fireworks Dessert Party Option:

... Due to the popularity of the Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom Park, there will now be an additional option – the After Fireworks Dessert Party starting on May 28.

Now you can experience the legendary fireworks over Cinderella Castle from a special viewing area in the Plaza Garden, and afterwards, head on over to Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and indulge in a delicious array of all-you-care-to-enjoy desserts!

On the menu for this sweet experience are treats inspired by each of the lands of Magic Kingdom Park. Among the offerings are the S’mores Action Station (Frontierland), Pineapple Delights (Adventureland), Ooey Gooey Toffee Cakes (Liberty Square), Macarons (Fantasyland), a Cookie Table (Tomorrowland), and Strawberry Tarts (Main Street U.S.A.).

But there’s more than just desserts! Savory snacks include cheese cubes, spinach dip with crackers, and house-made mini eggrolls. Fresh fruit is also available along with refreshing beverages such as sparkling apple juice, coffee, tea, and milk.

In addition, on July 3-4 and select nights during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, guests can enjoy special themed holiday treats as well as holiday fireworks.

Guests can begin making reservations for the After Fireworks Dessert Party on May 17 via phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Pricing is $69 for adults and $41 for children. Online reservations will be available starting on May 24.

For more information and to make reservations for all other dessert party experiences, visit the Walt Disney World Resort website or call 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463).

Currently, the After Fireworks Dessert Party is planned to be offered along with the two existing "pre-fireworks" dessert party options.

Great:( Even fewer places for the general public to watch the fireworks. When we were there in April if you wanted a place to watch the fireworks you needed to claim it 1 1/2 - 2 hours before!! This really stinks!!

Although it is an obvious money grab, I think this will appeal to many people ... a place to watch the fireworks (and you can arrive at the last minute) and then a place to hang out (and eat) while the crowds head out.

Will this dessert party share the same space for viewing the fireworks as the pre fireworks dessert party? Or will there be a whole other section designated to guests partaking in this?

They will be able to watch from the Plaza Gardens. Not sure if they are blocking off an additional area or not. Not many areas left for them to block off
