AKL and Discounts

Hi AKL lovers!! Just want to pick your brains to get some answers on what is worth it with the discounts offered. Scenario: Standard room for 4 nights, during Thanksgiving (Wednesday-Sunday) wanting Disney Dining plan. Say a room only discount AND free dining comes out for these dates. What offer gives you more bang for your buck?? Would MJs apply the discount for you that is the better deal?? Thanks in advance :mickey:

First off, you probably won't get either type of discount for that time period. There is already a Free Dining offer out there that begins the Saturday AFTER Thanksgiving, so that is out for your dates. Your stay must BEGIN within the offer dates. I don't think I have seen any Room Only discounts for that time period either and wouldn't expect any as it is a busy time for the parks and resorts.

That said, IF you should luck into either or both offers being available, you would need to determine how large the discount (generally around 25% for Deluxe resorts) versus the savings for the dining plan according to the number in your party.

Book with MJ and IF something becomes available, they will update your reservation for you.

Free dining vs room discount as best value is subjective to a great many factors. How many in your party? ages? which resort? how do you normally eat? how much is the room discount? and about 20 more questions need to be answered before an educated answer can be given.

So far there have not been any room discounts released for the last quarter of the year, so no comparison can be made. Will there be one Thanksgiving week? No one knows.

Free dining packages have been released and that week is not included.

We monitor every reservation until the client checks in. If a new promo comes out, we check everyone traveling during that time frame to see if it works out to be a better deal than what they currently have booked. If it saves money, we apply it automatically. If nothing at your resort is available we tell you what is and give you the option to switch resorts etc. If there is more than one offer we check them all for the best deal.
