The Walt Disney World resort has launched a variation of their 1-Day ticket that includes pre-selected FastPass+ Choices:

Buy a 1-Day, 1-Park Ticket with 3 Linked FastPass+ Experiences Today!

Looking to visit a Walt Disney World theme park tomorrow?* Leave the planning to us and skip the standby lines to some of our most popular attractions and entertainment when you purchase a 1-Day, 1-Park Ticket with 3 FastPass+ experiences included with park admission already linked to the ticket for you.

How It Works

With this ticket, 3 FastPass+ experiences are selected for you to use the next day—and will be conveniently linked to your ticket.

Please keep in mind that the selections are only valid for the itinerary date and arrival windows specified.

If you’d like to use your ticket on another day and choose your own 3 FastPass+ experiences, see the specified usage dates in the Important 1-Day Ticket Details during checkout. You can also purchase a 1-Day Ticket or other Walt Disney World theme park tickets that do not have the 3 FastPass+ experiences selected and linked to the ticket for you—allowing you to select and reserve FastPass+ experiences for yourself.

Note: FastPass+ attractions and entertainment experiences, the number of selections you can make and available arrival windows are limited. Valid theme park admission and online registration required.

Does this mean that they will release fewer fastpasses to those who book fastpasses ahead of time? Or will they just issue more fastpasses leading to longer fastpass lines??

I suppose this is Disney's response to people complaining about needing to plan their vacation 60 days out with FP. Sounds like this may be a trial run for multi-day tickets with the same add-on.

I wonder how many people will take them up on it? I have to say, there isn't a single set from the list above that would be my 3 selections.

This is only good for next day, correct?

Interesting. This is one way to make people like they are getting "something" before they realize that 90% of the chosen attractions don't need FP+, especially for a one day visit.

I was just thinking, all of these are attractions that on most days I would argue that you do not need a FP for. Even some of the ones that I could see the need for a FP for (Like buzz lightyear), you can get on with a short wait if you hit them early in the morning or late in the evening.

My thoughts exactly .... here is your one day ticket and help us spread out the crowds ....

Trial run? You give them a lot of credit for being benign. FP+ was just the beginning. Everyone is playing FP+ checkers while Disney is playing FP+ chess. They are so many moves ahead of what the guests, er, revenue streams are thinking you can't imagine.

If anything, it's a trial for a larger power/money grab in the same way FP and Pal Mickey was a trial for FP+.

I would so not go for any of this. Mind boggling how they keep coming up with ways to make the simple complicated.

Love this! It's almost like a government program. Create a program to help. The program creates more problems than it solves. Rather than getting rid of the program, they double down by further complicating the program.

Amen to both of these. Just wait, FP deuce will be coming out, to better serve your restroom needs.

It is interesting but most of the pre-selected FP's are attractions that either do not really require a FP because they have short waits anyway or they are junk that isn't all that popular and we often skip.

I don't know how you incorrectly inferred so much from my little statement. I didn't imply any form of kindness or generosity on the part of Disney for this new venture. Neither did I insinuate this wasn't part of a bigger plan. With a company as large as Disney, isn't everything part of a master plan?

OK...A lot of you are making comments like 'Oh, we wouldn't do these on FP+ anyway!"

Understand that this type of thing is offered for the first and one timers. They don't know any better and are just happy to get FP+ options picked. Those of us who are 'old pros' at WDW would not take them up on this offer unless they gave an additional 3 to select at our normal window availability....and maybe not even then!

If people do the research for a WDW trip, they will know that this is pretty much a joke.
