We are going in May and have been told the Pirate and Pals firework voyage is a MUST. However, we viewed it on YOUTUBE and at $79 per adult and $49 a child it seems to be not worth it. Sure you get a great view of fireworks, but the food looks very plain and lacks true Disney magic. No caramel apples and Mickey shaped goodies. So basically, your paying $79 to see fireworks from a boat. Anyone else think this really is a MUST do? Its my first time at the Florida parks and I really don't want to waste my time, $, and magic on the few Disney duds.

A friend of ours has three little boys and they absolutely loved it! The CMs are amazing and provide a bit of a show as well. From the moment you step on the boat until you leave you are "in the magic".

We did the cruise last summer with our seven year old son and had a blast. Yes, the desserts are not on the same level as something like the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party or the Star Wars party (popcorn, cookies, Mickey ice creams-all that you can take on the boat) but it is the event itself that is a blast. You will never get your money out of the desserts at any of the parties. We choose this one because my son is a huge Peter Pan fan. He got to spend a lot of time with Captain Hook, Smee and Peter Pan which was amazing (where else can you do a dance party with Captain Hook and Smee?). Our boat captain was hilarious! Made the event. I've never laughed so much. We sang songs and played games the entire time on the boat and then the kids all took home pirate toys.

As far as the view of the fireworks, yes it is completely different than in the park but I enjoyed it (maybe even more). You get to see many of the fireworks you would never see close up with the castle, monorail and front gates in view (great for pictures). You still get the music on the boat and you get the grand full view that you would normally see on a podcast of the holiday fireworks. One negative-you will not see the images projected on the castle that well. If that is your main goal-view the fireworks from inside the park.
