CBR Refurbs. How bad is it?

We are thinking of staying at the CBR in June. We know there are refurbs going on. How bad is it? Are the pools usable? Are the food options decent? I understand the food court is under refurb.

I haven't been there since refurbs started, but I saw pictures and it looks like a big mess. I also read somewhere that the food options aren't great. We wanted to stay there for our upcoming trip, but decided against it. It's been our preferred location for our last few trips. I'm sad not to be staying there this time.
