Quick Service...just a side???

In March i had the Tacos de Barbacoa at La Cantina de San Angel. The tacos themselves were ok, but the side of rice & beans that came with it were DELICIOUS! Is it possible to order just the side or do i have to get the whole meal?

I would guess "yes." In my experience, the quick service places are very accommodating. I have ordered kids menu sides (like apple sauce or a cookie) a la carte. I have also ordered the main item without sides (for a reduced price), so I'd think the reverse would also be an option.

I think they have a lot of a la carte options on their registers that aren't listed as such on the public menu.
