Fast pass question

We haven't been to WDW since the creation of the magic bands, so I was wondering since you can get fast passes up to 60 days in advance of your visit, do you have to have purchased the tickets in order to get your fast passes?In the past, I have booked room only, and purchased park tickets when we checked into the hotel. Yes. You must have tickets linked to your account in order to make FPs. If you have a Disney resort booked and linked to your account as well, your FP window will open at 60 days before check-in. Otherwise, the window too book FPs is 30 days.
