Any D23 members out there?

Are there any WDW perks for D23 members? We live in Virginia, and one of the stated perks is entry to various D23 events, but from what I can tell, those are almost all in SoCal. I've never heard of any D23 events, perks, or discounts for WDW.

Very few. There have been a few special events, but none when I could make it there :(.

There is also some special merchandise that, you have to show your D23 membership card to purchase. Even then there is not that much, it is usually just pins.

Honestly if you live closer to WDW the best part of D23 is the magazine. You just have to decide if you are willing to pay that much for a quarterly publication.

It baffles me that a company like Disney that is worldwide has this fan club they're trying to get people to join, and it feels like it's mainly centered around Southern California.
