So we are not looking to get back to the "World" for awhile and I was reading on another site about the work being done preparing for both the Star Wars and Toy Story Lands, which sounds like they are both several years from completion.. So exactly what is now missing from what has always been a park lacking in attractions IMO. It sounds like 1/2 the park is inaccessible for the construction being done. Lights! Motor!, Writers Shop, Academy of A&S, building facades....they are no more? What else? Sounds like you could knock this park out in a morning and focus on all the rest of the WDW offerings.

Rock n Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, the stage shows (Beauty & the Beast, Frozen Sing Along, Indiana Jones), Star Tours, Toy Story Mania, The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Great Movie Ride, Disney Jr. show, Star Wars Launch Bay (meet Chewy & Kylo Ren, watch a short film, tour the props.) That's about it. I wouldn't miss the Star Wars Galactic Fireworks at night, though. Those are so worth it!

...the stage shows (Beauty & the Beast, Frozen Sing Along, Indiana Jones)...

I'm sure they'll keep the Frozen Sing Along (how couldn't they), but are the other live action shows staying? I'm not up on the latest news of he redesign but I would have though Indy would get swallowed up by Star Wars Land?

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure that it's staying. I haven't read otherwise.

Indy is not included in the current refurb plots for SWL and TSL so it is staying for now.
Also on the open list is Muppets 3D and the soon to be opened PizzeRizzo (former Pizza Planet).

Half Day park, Just Like Animal Kingdom still is

Sorry, but in my opinion, this statement isn't true. Disney parks are so much more than just thrill rides.

Even with the construction at Hollywood Studio, taking some time to soak up the atmosphere can easily fill a day.

As for Animal Kingdom, just exploring the different areas of the park and animal exhibits, etc., will take at least a day.

I think it depends on how long until your next visit. You said
we are not looking to get back to the "World" for awhile If "awhile" is a month or so, then you will have more closed areas, then if your awhile is 2 years from now. I have not been to HollyWood Studios for about 2 years, but am planning on getting there before the end of 2016. Currently this is my list of closures:

HollyWood Studios
Pizza Planet (and arcade) (Starting Closed) 1/19/16 (Open Again) Late 2016
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster (Starting Closed) 10/27/16 (Open Again) 11/10/16
Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam (Starting Closed) 12/31/16 (Open Again) TBD
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular (Starting Closed) 11/14/16 (Open Again) TBD

Indy will be redone when Star Wars Land opens, but not before.
