Magic Kingdom 45th Anniversary Event on 10/1/16

Magic Kingdom will be celebrating their 45th anniversary on 10/1/16 with the following:



45th Anniversary Ceremony at Cinderella Castle 9:30 am
Limited Edition 45th Anniversary "I was there" T-Shirt , Magic Band (4,500) and Pin (3,000) at The Emporium
45th Anniversary Cupcake at Main Street Bakery
45th Anniversary Celebration Dog at Casey’s Corner

Hot Dog topped with potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, bacon, fried onion straws and a chipotle-ranch drizzle.

The line to get into the Emporium stretched all the way from the entrance closest to City Hall and back to the intersection to go to Crystal Palace. As of 1:00 the line was shorter but still ran about halfway down the street toward the Crystal Palace intersection. Folks were only being allowed into the shops vial that one entrance.

45th Anniversary pins (similar in size and style to the birthday and anniversary pins) were being handed out to guests entering the park. There was a special park guide ark dated today which folds out to show a larger version of the picture on the front of the anniversary guide map.

Park is very crowded.

The pins were also being given out at Epcot this morning (it's Epcot's 34th birthday today also). Epcot was also super crowded, but then it's Saturday during Food & Wine.

It's also very hot and humid.
