Technically we've moved to Davenport, but from my front door to the Western Way Disney entrance, it's a 20min drive! :cloud9: This has been in the works since January, but I did't want to say anything until we were actually here. Honestly, it's been surreal. I never dreamed I'd be this close to the Magic. Previously, we lived 2 hours north. That seemed perfect. I was far enough away to truly appreciate the drive and staying onsite. I do have a fear that I'll lose some of the pixie dust along the way. I hope not. :mickey:

I hope not. :mickey: If you ever miss the Pixie dust from the hotels just make a dinner reservation there. If you ever miss staying at the Disney hotels just go over to the bus lines at closing. One look :crowd: and you will remember why driving your own car and staying in your own house is better.

Congratulations.

:congrats:

So jealous... 20 minutes is probably just about the right amount of distance between you and WDW. Enjoy!

Yay! You will LOVE it. I live further down south of 27 in Lake Wales. Takes about 45 minutes with good traffic! Have fun and enjoy! :)

We are neighbors. I'm also in Davenport, in the four corners area. South of 192 just off the 27. I always take the back way coming in on Western Way.

It's still very surreal. Occasionally my husband or I would hear thunder at night before going to bed. This time of year that's not unusual. However, the other night it occurred to me it may actually be fireworks. I glanced out my bedroom window, which is on the second floor, and low and behold -- Hollywood Studio fireworks could be seen in the distance! I can't begin to explain how stinking cool that was.

My kids attend a youth group with a church that holds meetings at Celebration Highschool. Usually I take them and my husband picks them up. The other night I needed to pick them up and again I got a fireworks show on the way. I suppose all those living here get used to it after a while. I kind of hope I never do. :mickey:

Congrats. I am about 50 minutes from you in Brevard County (Port St John).
