I just got back fromt he Tinkerbell weekend and wanted to share how they did the race photos there as it's different from the other races that I've done in the past. I don't know if this was specific for this race or if it's the way they're doing race photos now, but for the Tinkerbell weekend it was the Disney Photopass people that were stationed along the route (I only saw them within the parks/finish line, but that's basically where I've seen other photographers too.) We were told that we could bring our bibs to the Disney Photopass store in the park and they could put the race photos onto our account and we'd be able to download them all at a 'one day Photopass' rate (I could be wrong on what it was called) including all the photos taken at the park that day for $40.

The person that told us this at the expo wasn't entirely clear and we were a little confused but after the half marathon my sisters and I went to the park with our bibs. We had gotten a Photopass card when we got pictures taken in front of the castle that day. We brought that card to the Photopass shop along with our bibs. The castmember was very helpful and was able to add all of the race photos for the half, as well as the 10k (we did the challenge) to one account. We can log onto the website and pay for it from home (we couldn't buy it at the park) and will be able to download all of the photos.

I thought that was a nice change - especially considering how much the outside photography group charged for race photos.

I thought people might be interested in this set up. Again, I have no idea if this is something they're going to continue, but I'm a fan of the change.

I was so excited when I read that photos for Tinker Bell weekend would be done with Photopass!!!! I have been making this comment in the RunDisney survey for years so thrilled to see it implemented. And then even more thrilled with the deal to purchase all Photopass pictures for one day for $40.

Not to mention that it seems like they took so many more pictures (or at least I got so many more pictures of me than in past races). This was my son's first 5K that we did as a family and I am so excited that I have all the pictures to commemorate it!

Way to go RunDisney!!!! And I was surprised at how quickly they were made available - I had my half finish line photos within hours of finishing instead of days as before.

While I don't like my pics (I never do), I thought the Photopass photographers did a great job. I was also happy to get the pics almost instantaneously and cheaper than the previous group.
