This is our first time staying at Caribbean Beach resort and we got a Pirate room which i hear the only location with these rooms is Island Trinidad South. Is this a good island to stay at this resort? Any suggestions??!! Thanks!!!!! We are sooo excited!!!!:mickey:

Trinidad South is the furthest away from Old Port Royale (where the food court, main pool, gift shop, etc. are). It was actually quite genius for them to covert that section, because I'm sure that was the least requested area. The rooms themselves are adorable. We've stayed in them twice, and the little touches are perfect. But like I said earlier, it can take 10-15 minutes to get to OPR. There is the option of the internal bus system.

Before they turned them into Pirate Rooms, that was my favorite place to request (CBR is my favorite moderate hotel). I liked the fact that they were removed from everything else, it gave me a sense of peace after a long day in the park. I usually have a rental car though and never worried about how far I was from anything.

It is sooo pretty there at night.

My husband and I are staying at CB in a Pirate Room the 2nd week of May. We wanted to try something different this trip & thought the Pirate Room would be fun. :) I was really excited when I found out that all of the rooms are in the more secluded area of the resort. I realize that most people wouldn't be too pleased with the location, but I like things quite, so I prefer it. Plus a longer walk to and from the food court means I gain less weight on my vacation. ;)

The Pirate rooms are far away from everything, but they are pretty cool. Its a long walk for breakfast on a hot day. We prefer to stay in the Martinique area. We love this resort.

We stayed in a Pirate room a couple years ago. The theme is adorable! I had been nervous about the distance from the main building but we ended up really liking it. There's a smaller un-themed pool and a hot tub that tended to be less crowded and loud than the main pool. The walk was about 15 minutes but as Melanie said, you can take the internal bus if you don't want to walk. The park and DTD buses stop at this section as well, so you don't have to walk a long distance after walking all day in a park. We loved this resort and will go back next trip!
