Artist Showcase with Linda Rick

World of Disney, Downtown Disney

Ready for Spring? We are! Help us welcome back doll designer and artist, Linda Rick, to the Disneyland Resort to celebrate the release of her new Spring collection. Linda will be available for special appearances and signing. Be sure to stop by and say hello as you choose your favorite dolls to take home!

Proficient in sewing, knitting and crocheting, developing her artistic abilities at a young age, Linda Rick, The Doll Maker, brings her dolls to life with a distinct character with her eye for beauty, and a mind filled with imagination and artistry. Over the years, many of The Doll Maker’s creations have been featured on Home Shopping Network and also Home Shopping Europe. The Doll Maker has been nominated and won numerous awards, including the Diamond Awards, Awards of Excellence and the prestigious DOTY! Fairy tales can come true … if only you believe!

Artist Showcase with Drake Brodahl

WonderGround Gallery, Downtown Disney

We are pleased to welcome artist Drake Brodahl to the Disneyland Resort. Drake will be on hand for special appearances and signings.

Drake Brodahl is a gallery artist and illustrator, currently working as a background painter for Disney TV Animation on the show Star vs the Forces of Evil. For the past 10 years he has participated in various art shows both locally and internationally. His whimsical paintings reflect his sense of humor and a love of animals, vintage children’s books, cartoons and mid century modern design. Drake’s work seeks to evoke fond childhood memories and to remind kids and kids at heart that it’s good to be silly.

Artist Showcase with Dave Avanzino

Disneyana on Main Street, USA, Disneyland

Welcome Disney Artist, Dave Avanzino, to the Disneyland Resort! Dave will be on hand for special appearances and signings. Be sure to stop by and pick up your favorite Disney piece to take home!

Dave Avanzino is a fine artist, scenic designer and production designer living in the Southern California area. A native Californian, Dave grew up in the beautiful Napa Valley, where his family has lived since the 1940s.
After pursuing a vocal performance degree for 2 years of college, he changed his major to art, a childhood passion, and graduated with a degree in art from California State University Long Beach. He worked in the graphic design field for several years and also created a wide variety of murals and artwork for clients in Southern California and across the country. Dave also works as a Scenic Designer for the theater and has created original set designs for the musicals “Four Tickets to Christmas” (Lillenas Drama) and “Christmas Post” (Word Music) which were marketed with the productions. Dave is the creator and one of the authors of “Uncle Phil’s Diner,” an interactive dinner theater piece for outreach which is published by Lillenas Drama.
He has also worked as a Production Designer for television, film and video projects. His work has been seen in the movies for television “A Vow to Cherish” and “Road to Redemption” (Worldwide Pictures), and the video series “Present Time” (Zondervan) and “Newtons’ Workshop” (Moody). He also was the set and production designer for “The Jesus Film for Children.” Dave is also a Disney artist and has created a variety of limited edition multimedia pieces for collector events.
