What do others think about this no longer being a night time race? Glad I did this one when it was still at night! But it seems like the new motto at RunDisney is treat every event other than Marathon Weekend the same - 5K, 10K, Half with a 10K/Half Challenge. I can't really blame them as I'm sure the logistics are far easier but it is a bit disappointing that there is a lack of variety.

I think it is disappointing. That's what I think. They have now removed all three of their evening events, and I did not get to experience any of them. Bummed for sure.

I'm more likely to not do this event or only to do the Jingle Jungle because it is a different course than the usually 5K. I'm sad too that I never got to do a nighttime event.

I am new to the Disney run thing. This year we are entering the Wine and Dine 1/2 Marathon. I see that it's now gonna be an early morning race. Two questions .... how early are we to arrive before the race, typically and does anyone have the race route ?? Thanks !!

I figure that they realized they were missing out on having the runners pay to get into Epcot for the 'party' so decided to get rid of it. That's really too bad. I really enjoyed that night time run. I was playing with the idea of going ahead and registering for the Wine and Dine just because I liked the timing of it, but now I'm going to pass.

Welcome to runDisney!
The morning half will start at 5:30 AM so if you are staying on Disney property, buses should start running at 3 AM. For other races, Disney says you must board a bus no later than an hour and a half before the race start in order to make it to the corrals on time so I assume this one will be the same.

I don't know what the course will be this year but when I ran in 2013 we started at WWOS, down Osceola Parkway, through AK, back down Osceola, through DHS, around Crescent Lake (Beach Club side), then backstage at EPCOT, enter EPCOT at Imagination Institute, around Spaceship Earth, and finish in Imagine parking lot.

I hope this helps!

I got my answer !! It sold out before noon !! I had no idea it would sell out that fast .. we had to sign up for a fund-raiser team, which is okay, but if we cannot raise enough money, I suppose we will not be able to run. Next year I'll be on the button to sign up at 12:01 AM. Who knew ??!! hahaa

Yeah, you have to be ready to register right at noon E.T. Sorry you didn't get in directly.

INTERCOT should sponsor a team and a charity for those of us too slow to get registered on time !! haha

#1donaldfan, I feel terrible that you weren't aware about being ready right at noon, especially for the W&D.

I did it back in 2014 and registered after 24 hours. But that year it sold out not long after 24 hours. Then in 2015 I read about it selling out within 45 minutes or so. So I knew this year I had to be ready right at noon. (I even took the day off work to register.)

See I only do a Disney run every other year because of the expense; traveling from Indiana.

I was lucky and got in this year for just the half marathon, which is all that I was hoping to register for.

Good luck with raising money for your charity. I hope it works out that you're able to go. (You'll probably feel better about doing it knowing that you're helping out a group in need.)

Thanks !! We are already raising the money and should not have a problem in getting what we need. I'm just excited to be able to run this year !!
