I was wondering if you rent dvc points can you add dining to your tickets?

YOU cannot, but the person from whom you rent the points is able to do so. Only the actual DVC member can add a dining plan to a DVC reservation. Depending on where you're renting the points, the member may not be willing to provide that service. If that's important to you, you'll want to make sure the member is willing to do that for you.
