I posted this a couple years ago, so thought it'd be fun to discuss it again :)

My favorite animatronic in the entire WDW has to be Trixie in CBJ. I know she's got a few miles on her, and she only appears for a few moments compared to all the other animatronics throughout the World, but she is snuggly, adorable, and sings 'a might big song'! That ain't all that's big... hehe

Anyhoo, so which one is your favorite? And tell us why!

Can the droids from Star Tours be beat?

I'd go for Yeti... No one sees him. Whole generations have only heard of him,, yet we all talk about him.

One of my favorites used to be S.I.R. "That stands for Simulated Intelligence Robotics." [insert Tim Curry voice.]

I miss that attraction!

I have a nostalgic soft spot for Sonny Eclipse. We can't visit the World without having at least one meal with him. :-)

Not necessarily my favorite (my heart belongs to Captain Jack Sparrow and all of the U.S. presidents), but one that always makes me giggle is Br'er Rabbit in Splash Mountain -- the one where he's walking with the stick and bandana pack over his shoulder. If you turn around and look at him as you pass, you'll see him duck down to get back into his starting position. It just cracks me up every time.

I will always answer President Lincoln to this question - mostly because of how I felt the very first time I saw him in the HOP as a kid - more than 40 years ago. I was totally shocked and inspired to see Abe "speak" to me!

I have a nostalgic soft spot for Sonny Eclipse. Same animatronic :)

Sonny is actually a "spare" Trixie. When the show was being developed for the "new Tomorrowland", they (WED/Imagineering) needed to stay under budget. Rather than design and build a whole new animatronic, a spare Trixie was sitting in Central Shops. And that's where it got used.

My favorite? The animatronic that you could (or used to could) play with at One Man's Dream.

Lots of great ones, including the Pirate with the hairy legs on POC...very first trip, in 75, DMiL pointed to him, and called him by DFiL's name...since then, we always call him, "Elwood." But I also cast a vote for the unnamed little girl helping with the manual washing machine in the first scene of CoP...no back story, no follow on...She remains unnamed, but loved, at least by us.

Come on - everyone knows Stitch is real, not an animatronic!

I think that Stitch in SGE, though hated, is the most impressive animatronic in the parks. But I will put in my vote for Ursula in the Little Mermaid dark ride. She's so big and fluid. Love it.

Oops... my bad... What was I thinking???
