For my next trip to wdw I had to split our stay between 2 resorts because there was no availability just at the bwi. (room only reservations) Anyway, I was thinking of getting separated park tickets for 10 days because it would be cheaper than getting two packages.

My question is if I do that will the park tickets be able to be attached to the magic bands?

Thank you!

Not sure I understand - why would it be better to get 2 sets of tickets than the discount you'd get if you bought a 10 day pass instead?

Yes, your tickets can be attached to your magic bands. I did this last year, staying at three separate places.

With packages you usually must get at least two days of park tickets. I used to save the room keys they were on and I used them for the times I DIDNT have an annual pass. Not sure, but if you go to Guest relations they can set up your ticket to use he ten day and save the ones you must purchase with the package

BUT BEWARE, sometimes Guest relations aren't the smartest bunch, check each and every time you go through the gates and ask the cast member with the I-pad what ticket was used. Don't telll them which ticket; I did she nodded yes, and the next day I found out NO, they used one of my non expiring tickets instead of my newly purchased annual pass...SIGH, took an hour inside EPCOT guest relations to have two none expiring tickets (Comped) put back on my records. There were issues with the non expiring part, but they wouldn't issue two one day tickets?!? They didn't seem to understand why the non expiring was so important. SIGH.

If your first stay is a package, and the 2nd is room obly, just upgrade the days on your tickets when you arrive. I cant imagine many scenarios where 2 completely separate packages would save money, since the tickets cost less the longer you have them.

If I understand the original question, The answer is it does not matter which bands you use the tix are linked to your MDE and the Magic Band just identifies your MDE. The bands are completely interchangeable.

I don't have any packages just room only reservations. That's why I was wondering if I purchased a 10 day park hopper if I could link them to my magic bands. I am going to get 2 sets of magic bands. thx
