Is Jungle Cruise down for long return? Seems like I keep seeing it closed when I look at wait times ahead of my trip

I believe it is supposed to reopen in early May.

According to MDE, Jungle Cruise will open on Sunday, May 10. At least I can make FP+ for it on that date, but any earlier and it says it is closed.

Last I know, May 8th was the date for reopen, or at least the last day of refurb...

I thought that was it as well.

And now, MDE says JC is closed on May 8, Standby Only on May 9, and allows me to make FP+ on the 10th.

That is different than what it showed earlier today. Perhaps they are in the process of updating system?

This is not sounding promising. We leave for home on May 9 :( I think I'm cursed, it was down last time I was there, September of 2013
