For AP do we need a exchange certificate or only id, confirmation number?

How does the magic band process work?

Do you get new band only or card also? Does it function like normal magic band as hotel room key/park entry/charging privileges. As soon as you activate it does it automatically have all your MDE info on it (FP, dining etc?)

Do we get new magic band each trip or only one set for the year?

anything else we need to know as first time AP holders?

Thanks

For pickup at will call, I think you just need ID and confirmation number.

No difference with an AP.

Do you get new band only or card also? You get a band for the AP and a band for each hotel reservation. You get a discount card with your AP magic bands.

Does it function like normal magic band as hotel room key/park entry/charging privileges. If you have a hotel reservation linked to your MDE account, when you check in, you can have it be your hotel room entry and charge account. Without a hotel reservation, it does not allow charging.

As soon as you activate it does it automatically have all your MDE info on it (FP, dining etc?) The Magic Bands don't store any information, it's all on your MDE account. The band is just a way to tell Disney who you are and what account they should be looking at.

Do we get new magic band each trip or only one set for the year? Answered above.

anything else we need to know as first time AP holders?Nope, not really.

Thanks

If this is a regular AP you need the confirmation number and photo ID as DRox said. If it is a discounted AP you also need proof of discount id such as FLA resident or DVC.

If you are staying off-site you will not get a MB the day you exchange your voucher, you will get an AP and an AP discount card. You can customize your band and have it mailed once you pick up the pass. Keep in mind, you still need to carry your discount card even with the MB. If you're staying on-site, you'll have a MB for that.

Now that you have an AP you are eligible to purchase the Tables in Wonderland card. The cost is $100 for an AP holder.

20% discount offered on TS food and beverage, including alcohol at over 100 participating restaurants at the Walt Disney WorldŽ Resort (discount is valid for a party of up to 10 Guests including the member)
Complimentary Resort Valet and Theme Park parking for dining purposes
Invitations to special events, such as happy hours, dessert parties, and dinners!

18% gratuity is added to your bill. We have been TIW holder for the last 5 years and have more than covered the cost 3x over.

For AP do we need a exchange certificate or only id, confirmation number? We stayed off property and they sent us "Vouchers" which were basically little green cards to exchange at Will Call.

Do you get new band only or card also? Does it function like normal magic band as hotel room key/park entry/charging privileges. As soon as you activate it does it automatically have all your MDE info on it (FP, dining etc?) If staying off property you will not get a magic band when you exchange your voucher. You will have to order your bands after your pass is activated. You will get an AP card though. Honestly not sure how it works for those planning on property stays but I'm pretty sure you have to go into MDE and link any reservations and stuff if they don't automatically show up.

Do we get new magic band each trip or only one set for the year? Again with a guest staying on property I'm not quite sure but I believe with every new reservation you get a new band. We are off property guests so we only have the set we first ordered and the ones we bought in park the day we activated our APs
