If you arrive on the last day of a free dining plan promotion do you get just the free dining for your whole trip? For example; the last day of free dining is March 7th. You arrive on March 7th and stay for 7 days - do you get the whole 7 days free?

In the past, that has been the case. It has happened to us, or someone we know twice, and the free dining was added for the entire stay, even though the promotional timeframe ended before the trip.

Obviously, Disney can modify that policy any time they choose, but for now, the policy seems to be that you get the free dining for your entire stay (up to 14 days) if you check-in during the promotional period.

I think there is a limited number of days you can go out (14?) but yes, the free dining is triggered by the date you check in, so if your check in date falls within the free dining promotion, the free dining will be extended for your length of stay. That is the "current" practice.

Conversely if you arrive prior to the promotion period, the days prior would not include the promotion and you would have to book a split stay.

In the past, as long as you are there for the last day the free dining the free dining offer has been extended into your vacation.
