I read a rumor on Facebook that Muppet Vision 3-D is scheduled to close in the near future.

Any truth to that?

I know Muppets in DL was closed and converted to Frozen through May 2015. I hadn't heard anything about Muppet 3D though other than the rumor that they were working on a new film. I hope it isn't true, it's still one of my favorites .

Right now it's not planning on closing but all of DHS is currently under examination and there's really nothing that's "safe" in the entire park as they revision it.

I would miss the Muppets. A new movie would be nice. I like the new Star Tours and would love a new Soaring film or 3.:D

I would imagine Tower, Rockin, and Toy Story are "safe" no matter how they reimagine the park.

Well TS is getting a third track so that's safe... Rockin and Tower, probably as safe as you can get, but I could see Rockin getting a new theme...

New theme sure, but it would be the same ride experience. The only thing that would possibly change would be pre-show, music on board, and the signs you see as you fly by. Point being the ride itself isn't going anywhere.

If you ever read the lyrics to "walk this way" you will wonder how it ever made it in the parks in the first place!

I am all for looking closely at this park, but the Muppet Movie is one of the few attractions we always enjoy. That and Star Tours and Toy Story. The boys like RR and TOT, and I guess those are safe anyway. :)

Seeing as how they just released two new Muppets movies in the past three years, seems unlikely to get rid of a Muppets presence at one of the parks.

no, it's currently closed in Dianwyland Resort for Frozen singalong or alone other lame thing as part if their Frozen makeover run

To be honest, I think muppets needs a face lift. After seeing backlot close, anything could happen. They have a lot of space to work with now and I hope they really dig deep and bring back the magic of the film industry. I would love for them to film something there again. The coolest part was that it was an active studio. :mickey:

I hope it's not closing.

I do miss when they had celebs visiting.

I sure hope it doesn't close.
I know the one in Disneyland is currently the Frozen sing-a-long and by the looks of what they did to the building and theatre I would be very surprised to see Muppets come back to that attraction, unless they are redoing the whole thing.
I like Frozen, but I really hope that it doesn't take over Muppets 4D in WDW.
I do agree that some updating to the movie would be nice, but I love the Muppets and Muppets 4D!!!!:mickey:

I like Muppets a lot too, but honestly, anything they do to pick up this park would be welcomed by me.

With them completely owning The Muppets and trying to restart the franchise, I doubt this will be leaving DHS anytime soon.

In Disneyland, they are so limited on space, especially with theaters that could support a Frozen event, they can take out The Muppets and it not be a problem.

Also, with DL being more of a locals park, most people have seen The Muppets many, many times. So, removing it wouldn't be something for the local visitors to miss.

Love the Muppets but they need a new film, I'm so tired of watching Waldo the spirit of 3D, and with the 2 recent (and popular) feature films I'm hopeful that this will happen.

As with everything in DHS at the moment, nothing is safe from the chopping block as the park is made over...

One of the rumors which circulated early on in the Star Wars land rumors was Muppets being closed to make way for a Star Wars attraction, actually, a show, featuring Yoda... But, that was way in the beginning of any Star Wars expansion talk... Plans changed, and have continued to change and evolve...

Right now, however, there are no rumors of the Muppets demise... But I also wouldn't be shocked if they wound up replaced down the line... But first, bigger fish to fry...
