On a day when the posted MK closing is at 7pm and the Xmas party follows- what happens during the transition? When do they start herding out us riff raff? Are you able to get in lines up to 7 pm ?
Last question- is there a mass exodus of non party guests to the monorail?

They don't really herd people out. They simply stop allowing non party guests into ride queues, restaurants, shops, bathrooms (I've heard). The CMs will form sort of a roadblock at the entrances to the lands to keep non party guests from entering. I am not sure if how far before 7 they cut off ride access. I do know if you are eating at a TS place and you are finished after 7pm, a CM will physically walk you out of the park.

In addition to Natalie's statements, they do begin moving their "blockade" further and further towards the front. They start checking bands to get on rides usually about 6:50 or 6:45 unless the ride is walk on. By 8:00 they have pushed all the way to Main St and they do a check of everyone waiting on Main St for the parade. If you don't have your band, they walk you out so that by 8 there should not be any non-party guests left, but you really can't do much between 7-8 without the band anyway. Occasionally when it's rainy it's been harder for them to enforce, but they're really doing a better job of getting non-party guests out quickly. It's crowded enough at the party as it is, you don't want non-paying folks hanging around.

They it politely, but kind of nicely quit allowing you entrance to rides and will start checking for your band at 7 and politely tell you the park is closed for a special event.

I have a 6:50 ADR at Tony's. I assume it will be honored and then I can just leave after dinner.

Yes. As Natalie mentioned above someone will escort you out after your meal. I'm going to give you a heads up, though. They want absolutely all non-party goers out before the parade so if you might feel a little rushed at your meal. I've definitely heard reports of that from folks who had late ADRs. You might want to go for an earlier time unless you usually eat quickly.
