Is there anyway to find out what specific times the characters will be out?

Yes. At each park, there's a paper that lists some of the character times (it's located next to the maps). Plus, there's a website online that has them

We were looking at learning how to better schedule our time by finding out the characters schedule. We usually just randomly see the characters as we walk around the parks. We like the characters from the older movies and the villians. My DS would like to see the crew from ROBIN HOOD!!!!

Unfortunately the Robin Hood characters aren't really out anymore
