View Full Version : Does MK close due to capacity July 3?

We've never been to Disney over the Fourth of July holiday. We were planning on relaxing by the pool then heading over to MK for dinner reservations and fireworks. Our FP are scheduled for the evening since we won't be at the park in the morning. I've been reading that the park may reach capacity and be closed because of the holiday. I purposely avoided scheduling the MK on July 4 because of this happening. Does it usually happen on July 3 as well?

Usually not on the 3rd, but it has happened occasionally.

MK does the same exact firework display on the 3rd as they do on the 4th only the crowds are much less. Go to MK in the 3rd, watch the fireworks then stay away on the 4th :mickey:

We went to WDW 2 years ago over the 4th and did MK on the 2nd. The 3rd though it didn't close was PACKED. I think word has gotten out that the 3rd is the day to go!

I've decided to get there a little earlier than first planned, to avoid the park being closed. I'm hoping to get there around 2:00, which should be safe.

MK won't close on the 3rd. Probably wont on the 4th either. It will be packed, but doubt it will close.

Maybe. It is possible, even if unlikely. If you're a gambler, show up late, you might still get in.

Thinking crowds will be larger on July 3rd this year because July 4th is on Friday this year. People will be more inclined to take off work for a 4 day weekend.
