My friend is at the MK today and just got to ride. Maybe this is old news (haven't been keeping up with social media this week), but looks like soft openings are a go.

Was at Walt Disney world for the 4 day memorial day weekend. I got to ride the mine train. Now it's a nice ride but I was a little disappointed. One the ride is extremely short and two thunder mountain is faster. The effect are awesome but for how long this took to build and complete one time one it is good for me. Unfortunately a lot of people getting off this attraction had the same take of it

Saw it via youtube video. Seems tame, but a great ride for visuals. It seems more of a dark ride/thrill ride combo. I can't wait to see it in person.

It isn't supposed to be faster than BTMT. It isn't supposed to be a "thrill" ride. It is supposed to be an extension of the traditional dark ride.

I've seen videos of it and it looks like they have captured exactly what they wanted to with this ride.

We could not ride last week. Folks were waiting in line "just in case" the public was allowed to ride. I passed on that.

RBrooksC, I totally agree with your assessment. It appears to be a well-themed ride for Fantasyland-aged park goers. For me personally, I am so excited my DS4, who's on the smallish side, will meet the height requirements to ride it. I don't think it was ever intended to be a "thrill" ride.
