Hoop dee do

Just booked 5 tickets to the hoop dee do review. I purchased tier 3 tickets. Only tier 2 and tier 3 were available. Based on reviews, I chose tier 3. Good Choice? Bad choice? Tips? Does getting to the review early give you a better chance on getting a good table?

I don't think there's a bad seat in the house, some might disagree. Table are assigned when tickets are sold, not when you check in. Used to be show up early, get a good seat, not anymore unless it's changed in the past few years.

Last time we went, we showed up a few minutes late and we're shown to our seats which were front and center (table for 4 for a party of 3).

Tier 3 is up on the balcony (I believe). We've sat there before (as well as down below) and it was just fine. I agree with DizneyRox, I don't there there's a bad seat in the house...at least we've never had one. I've noticed that the laster show tends to have more seats in the Tier 1 or 2 section, but like I said, Tier 3 was just fine.

I've never sat in tier 3 but have sat in tier 1 and 2. Tier 2 we had a round table on the floor all the way in the back to the left, it did limit some views. In tier 1 we were in the second row from the stage, off center. I don't think I could go again and not get tier 1, that's how good the seats were. Tier 3 is the sides of the balcony, Tier 2 also has locations at the back of the balcony (google for the seating chart to see). All of the Tier 3 should have a good view though.

As others have said the earlier you book, the better your seat assignment since they assign as booked.

1) Cat-3 isn't bad, if
. . . you don't mind turning around - one half of seats face away from stage
. . . you might have a pillar in your way - five posts per side
. . . your kids are tall enough - short kids might have railing in the way
. . . you don't mind climbing stairs to your seat - not handicapped accessible
2) Some people don't mind Cat-3.
. . . entertainers still visit the upstairs
. . . the food is not cold
. . . they like viewing down on the stage

Let's face it, whether HDDR, Broadway, or your local live theater, the expensive
seats (eg. Cat-1 at HDDR) are ALWAYS the best. Sure, some like the balcony
at HDDR, but Cat-1 is still the best.

This is true. We did Cat 3 once. There were 4 in our party and we sat (all of us) in a row at a narrow table facing the wall with our backs to the railing. (Like eating at a bar.) When the entertainment started, we had to turn around and look over (or through)the railing. We could see the program just fine. Members of the entertainment cast do come up and visit, so you don't feel neglected.
