Many of the children and about 15% - 20% of the adults are in costume. It's a great time.

I don't think you would be out of place either way. We did not dress up but there were plenty of adults that were.

It was just too hot for me and I did not want to invest in a costume for the warm weather since it's cold where we live.

Considering I love to dress in theme clothing every day of my trip, I would dress in costume for the party. It's fun getting the recognition from cast members and even little kids!

I dressed up last time and I plan to dress up this time. I got compliments from CMs and other party-goers and I got extra attention at The Laugh Floor. I felt like a mini celebrity.:mickey:

I had planned on going as the witch from the Great and Powerful Oz but started thinking how big the hat is....I'm wondering if it's going to be a problem on rides or at parades ?

We're going on Sept 16th and I'm dressing up but the other 3 adults aren't. My DH says he wants to wear a shirt that says "I don't do costumes." Too funny! We've been twice before and didn't dress up but lots of adults did. I agree it would be fine either way. :mickey:

Going to the party for the first time this year, and me and the wife can't decide about this...

Both years we have gone we have dressed up. The first time we were a party of 9 with one child. The 2nd time we were a party of 7 and again 1 child.

Funny story- the 2nd year we dressed up as Toy Story characters and my mom was Mr. Potato head- kids asked her for autographs all night long.

Lots of adults dress up! You'll have a blast! But, as someone mentioned it can be pretty warm. When we went it was hot and humid even late into the evening, so I wouldn't choose a costume that will be too hot.

We've gone twice and dress up once, and once not dress up. We're planning on going again this year, and will probably dress DS up in a lightweight pirate costume, and DH and I will probably try to find something light weight to go along with DS. The year we dressed up we had a blast, and the CM were really awesome with interacting with my DH. He was dressed up as a pirate and really has the whole Capt. Jack Sparrow mannerisms down.

The extent of My MNSSHP costume has been a halloween themed sweatshirt. Our boys did go as pirates when they were younger, but now that the are tennagers (and beyond) they have lost interest in dressing up. They still love to get the candy though!
