If you are a DVC member, and your signature says you are since 2002, you can sign into your DVC member account on DVCMEMBER.COM... They list all the Disney owned hotels your DVC points can be used at...

In Disneyland, DVC can be used at The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa... If you click on to the link, you can see the accommodations... I have never stayed there so cannot tell you from personal experience... Maybe someone else here can...

They don't have Disneyland Hotel or Paradise Pier listed as DVC accommodations... You can probably trade points and stay there like you can with other WDW resorts... Unless they changed that policy now...

To add to what DF said, all 3 DL hotels can be booked using points but you need to call MS. The point charts can be found on the site under Resort Collection.

Do you have to pay some sort of fee to convert the points?

The $95 does not apply to the Disneyland Resort hotels.

I thought non DVC resorts there was the extra fee... or maybe I'm confusing it with something else...

There is an additional tax that needs to be paid for stays at Aulani in Hawaii - perhaps you were thinking of that?

There is an additional fee of $95 for most of the non-DVC resorts, DL is exempt though. May be because VGC is so small.
