He was still working on our trip in 2011. My daughter brought him with us in 2013 as well, but we never brought him out of the room since she started collecting pins and carrying those around. Too much to carry both.

In 2011, a CM was shocked to see our Pal Mickey. He said that he hadn't seen them around in years. Pal Mickey was still giving locations and times of characters too, but I'm not sure if they were accurate or still from years past.

According to the Disney Mom's panel site post of Dec 2013, the transmitters in the parks are no longer active. So that would say no.
