General Store

Where is the General Store on Main Street?
I heard there is a wall mounted telephone near the register. When you pick it up and listen, you can here a conversation going on between the " Upstairs residents ". Has anyone ever checked this out?
I meant to look for it last year and forgot all about it once we were there.

I think the General Store was replaced by Crystal Arts a while back. The phone was then moved to The Chapeau which is facing you on the right as you enter MK (next to the candy store). I'm not sure if the party line is still there or not. It was located on the wall in the rear of the store.

DH and I picked up the phone at The Chapeau during our trip last fall but heard nothing. We weren't sure if it just wasn't working at the time or if they'd stopped it. It always made us laugh!

It used to be located in the Market House (the "general store" referred to in the original post), which is located on the right-hand side of Main Street as you're looking at Cinderella Castle, just past Uptown Jewelers. Crystal Arts was part of the Market House.
