Festival of Fantasy Parade

When will the Festival of Fantasy parade begin running? We will be there in early March, and would love to see it. Everything I've read says March 2014, but doesn't give any specific dates.

The information about the new parade has hit the WDW website, but no start date... Not added to the entertainment calendar yet either...

Tentative date pending some overnight route testing testing of floats a couple of nights late next week. Can't' really say too much more about it though.

Festival of Fantasy started today... March 9th... Several sites streamed the parade live as it came down Main Street... Yes, I watched... Let me say this parade appears to be exactly what was needed... Fresh, brand new.. majestic and grand... The music fits perfect... The floats are fantastic... Maleficent HOLY COW, breathing fire... Probably the best float of them all (and that's saying a lot cause each float was magnificent)...

Couldn't get the feel of being in person through a live feed online, but nevertheless, AWESOME... Kudos Disney!!! Knocked this parade out of the park...

My friend is there for his birthday today and watched it. He said it was great. He is a Florida resident and goes all the time.

Maleficent HOLY COW, breathing fire... Probably the best float of them all (and that's saying a lot cause each float was magnificent)...

I watched a Youtube version uploaded today. My thoughts exactly. The Maleficent float was incredible. The guy holding the camera never caught the fire, but you could hear the people cheering each time it happened. :thumbsup:

Maybe it's just me, but the video (appears to be 18 seconds long) does not fully play.. I'll click the play button, the video loads, then stops without playing... Oh well... I'll just wait til the full video is up... :)

I watched the parade on another site yesterday. They had taped it from the train station so it was an awesome view. I cannot wait to see this in person. Only 19 more days till WDW!!

Beautiful! Must be spectacular to see in person. Those costumes are phenomenal -- to me they harken back to the creativity of Epcot's Tapestry of Nations parade.
