Pirates of the Caribbean closed

My brother is at the MK today and he says Pirates is closed. I can't find any refurb schedule that has it as closed this week. Does anyone know why?

On the app it says temporary closure so something must have gone down. It will probably be back up when whatever it was gets corrected.

I hope so! My brother's 5-year-old son was looking forward to riding it for the first time.

I just check again and it is 5:31 on the east coast and it is still down. Something must have really happened that they can't fix right away.

We've ridden it three times already this week with hardly any wait...I'm sure its just a mechanical malfunction today

;) I saw it was closed today while checking wait times on my phone. Headed there next week, and was hoping it's just something temporary today!

They checked back at 8:30 p.m. and it was running with no wait! Thank goodness, cause they waited for 40 minutes for Space Mountain before that shut down for problems today. They were beginning to feel unlucky.

BUT none of the animatronics in the auction room were working. DB said the auctioneer was slumped over like he had been shot. Audio was working, but no movement. The 5-year-old didn't notice, though! ;)
