Jacksonville?

My husband was offered an opportunity with his company which requires relocating to Jacksonville. We have family in central Florida (Ocala, Tampa) but nobody in the Jacksonville area. We have to make a fairly quick decision and have very little information. I know there is good and bad like all big cities. Is there anyone out there who lives/lived there who can offer any information?:confused:

I have lived in Jacksonville since 2001. It is a nice very nice city, however, I found that I am much happier living in Macclenny, FL and commuting to Jacksonville (about 35 miles) for work. I do not like the drive but the small town atmosphere makes it worth it. Also the schools are great!
