ID requirements

I recently read something about ID requirements changing when purchasing alcohol on-site and was hoping that someone might be able to help clarify things for me.

Is it true that international (UK in particular) visitors now need to use a passport for ID when purchasing alcohol?

This would definitely be a shame as I don't really feel comfortable carrying my passport around all day.

I have heard that too, but when DH and I have been asked for ID, our Canadian driver's licenses have always been fine.

If they switch to passports being needed, I think we'll be drinking A LOT less in the parks. :beer: :marg:

I have only been carded once at WDW. All I had to do was take my hat off and I was served.
