Ok, so we are officially testers..Do I need to choose all of our fast pass attractions prior to them shipping our bands? If not, how do our choices get linked to our bracelets? Very confused.

All the information will be stored and linked on your MDE account. You can sign in and pick the attractions before the bands arrive as long as park tickets are linked. If you haven't selected your band colors you should do that too.

So, let me get this straight, I am slightly Wilma Flinstone when it comes to technology, so please be patient with me! Do I have to choose my fast pass attractions before the bands are shipped or can I do it at any time afterwards up until our trip? I feel rushed right now and don't have the time to think about the fastpass times yet. I thought it had to be done online prior to us receiving them. Does it matter?

Also..can I link Halloween party tickets to the band too?

The FP can be added to the band at any time. The earlier you make your selections the better your chances of getting what you want or so they say.

I'm not sure if the MNSSHP tickets can be added. The question has come up before and no one seemed to now for sure. If you have them in your possession you could try linking them and see what happens.

^ this!

You summed up exactly how I and many others feel about fastpass plus. A source of stress and confusion and feeling pressed to act now instead of happily anticipating the spontaneity of a vacation.

You summed that perfectly.

I am seeing kiosks in the park were you can take your wristband and find what FPs are available that day.

Other than that, what I DON'T understand about MMYFP+ could fill a warehouse.

You can make your fast Pass selections at any time, starting now. You do not have to receive the Magic Bands first. Not to get too technical here, but your FP information is not entered into the wrist band directly. Instead it is stored on servers in the parks which then communicate with your wristband after you arrive.

Not happy with having to schedule everything including ADRs 6 months in advance. There goes the relaxing vacation with having to be somewhere at a specific time. Disney's getting as complicated as cell phones - LOL

So we received our Magic bands--they are pretty cool.. Leaving in 28 days. :cloud9:

BUT--We have non expiring tix from last year that we'll need to link with the bands in order to take advantage of the fastpass + Correct? I would have to do that with guest relations when i get there i guessing.

It's all a bit confusing to everyone i think, i hope it works out well..

I believe you can attach your tickets to the system using My Disney Experience app or website without going to guest relations.

We have our bands and we've picked all our selections. I was pretty intimidated, but it was very easy. Plus, when I randomly logged onto MDE one afternoon a while back, I noticed that particular day was THE last day (according to them...at that time) I could customize my MagicBands. I was really confused because I hadn't been told in advance that we were participating in the test, so I called. A very nice lady explained everything to me. I feel a LOT better now. I was stressed about having to pick out Fast Passes so early, but everyone here is right. They can be changed anytime. We're leaving in 19 days. I'm looking forward to seeing how all this will work. I'm sure it will be just fine.

Oh...and on a side note. I received the bands a week ago today. They've been customized for a while now and our reservations are linked. So, I was surprised by an envelope delivered by UPS this morning. It was from Disney and it was an invitation to participate in the MagicBand testing. The letter instructed me to log onto MDE and get started! Uh...been there, done that! They also told me that Sept. 21 is the last day we can customize. That's only 9 days away from our arrival date. Funny...I though August 31 was THE absolute last day! :D

Hi Lisa,

You are APs, right? Do you know how your AP gets added to the band?

I can't wait to hear how you like the bands.

All tickets are entered the same. Go into MDE, link my tickets, and enter the numbers there. You cannot link AP vouchers, just tickets.

You can do it online now on my disney experience to save yourself some time and hassle. Just go under link existing tickets and it will prompt you for the code on the back of your tix. :mickey:

38 days!!!! :joy:

VWL Mom, I am more than a year away from our next trip so this question may be moot, but will we be able to link our APs to our magic bands when we arrive? We will be purchasing our vouchers in a few weeks.
