I figure we have RunICOT, why not BikeICOT !!

:bike: :bike: :bike: :bike:

I was hoping to start a thread where cyclists of any age or ability could come and ask questions or give reviews on anything bike related. We could share trip reports, personal bests, and funny stories that happened along the way.

This weekend I am doing a local ride called Pedal Pittsburgh. It's the 20th Anniversary and should be a blast. After the ride they are having a festival with music, food trucks, a photo booth, and a cycling expo.

Penn state lover....we're coming down for a football game...where should we park...coming in from the west! And yes, it's "that" school.

Strange.

I ride constantly, but more as transportation to and from work. On my days off I go for conditioning rides; but I rarely go for joy rides or organised rides.

Shouldn't that be #bikeICOT ;)

Dpamac could be your ceremonial leader of sorts

Pirate Granny, glad to hear you are coming to Happy Valley, even if you are from "that school"! If you go to www.gopsusports.com you can find out all kinds of info about the game and parking at Beaver Stadium. Just do a search on the website for "parking". I will tell you that you should order your parking pass before coming to the game. Advanced parking is $10 and day of game parking is $40. The website gives you the phone # to call to get a parking pass.

Good luck, but I hope we win!! :mickey:

My friend Sandy just arrived back home late Saturday night, from biking from Long Beach, CA to Staten Island, NY.

The tour was called Sea to Sea, to raise money and awareness to fight poverty in the US and Canada. Close to 4,000 miles she peddled over 9 weeks this summer.

I am inspired and in AWE! Biking some serious miles.

Biking across the country would be an amazing thing to do. Its something I wished I would have thought about doing during high school or college. This whole job and being an adult thing can really get in the way of biking and Disney !!

The ride over the weekend was really nice. They had a turn out of over 2800 riders. Beautiful weather with a nice breeze. Only downfall to the ride were the hills. Then again its Pittsburgh and we should no better, but its good exercise !

As for that "other college" if it has a Wolverine as a logo I am ok with that. If it was a NUT which I believe is an away game for us, then we might have problems ha ha ha ha. Are you coming in for the weekend or just for the game ?? Send me a pm and I can give ya some ideas on what to see, do, eat, etc.

Hey John !!

Yes it should be .....#bikeICOT :D

I figured this thread may have peaked Gary's interest but it's still rather new. Who know's he might be riding as we speak or secretly trying to fix the Yeti !!!!

Darn! You found me out!

Nice foggy rides to and from work today.

Still trying to interest Chuck Norris in taking over for the Yeti!

Anyone been out lately. Had to skip a 44 mile ride I was registered for last weekend, sprained my mcl. Knee is feeling better and cant wait to get out this weekend. 78 degrees and sunny cant wait :D

Also looking at new mt bikes, was going to redo my old Gary Fisher but once I started totaling prices I am thinking I am better off go new.

I think I mentioned to Gary at ICOT15 that if they would do a bike race like they do marathons at Disney, I'd be in - in a heartbeat! Unfortunately I live 30+ miles from work without a bike trail, but I take 90 minutes a day to get on my bike during lunch. Yes, to get that long of a lunch break I need to get up at 4:30 am and not leave work until around 4:30, but it is SOOOOO worth it! :mickey: Braddy, get that knee better. And I would be a regular in the cycling forum!

Hey fellow bikes, just seeing how everyone is doing after this winter. I will be so glad once the weather has finally broken.

I have noticed there is a bike in Frederick, Maryland. I happened to stumble upon this since I have family that lives there. If my memory serves me correct, that is also near the home headquarters of Intercot !

Would anyone be interested in doing this. Its 3 days long, the first two days have multiple rides you can chose from. If we would register as a team we would also get team jerseys.

Anyone interested ?? Its called tourdefrederick and it is in August
