For a trip next year we are thinking about doing a few of the Disney Tours. Most tours start in the 8:30 AM to 9 AM time frame. Do restaurants at the resorts service breakfast early enough to make these times? Are there counter service options that are open early, either at the parks or the resorts? Any suggestions or experiences you have had will be a big help for us. Thanks.

Roaring Forks, Captain Cooks, and the Contempo Cafe are all open by 7AM for breakfast (coffee service opens earlier). It's probably similar at other resorts.

I love my early morning walk for CS odds and ends on vacation and have been to the food courts at POFQ and CSR before 7 AM. We have also purchased pastries the evening before to eat on mornings when we needed to be out of the room early.

If you are at a buffet which most start seating at 7:30ish. You can always tell your server to bring the check from the onset, pay it (use Dining Credits etc.) and be ready to leave as soon as youre finished.

We found this can shave 10-15 minutes off of waiting for someone to come back, ask for the check, pay, and then pack up to go. If you are on a tight schedule.

Most resort food courts and CS open at 7am. Grab n' Go items were available earlier than that at AoA, probably similar elsewhere.

You may want to call your resort. The continental breakfast at Boardwalk Inn opened at 6:30AM when I stayed there.

Thank you all for the replies, this info does set make me feel better. My DH can be Grumpy without something to eat in the morning.

I just did Backstage Magic (7 Hours), and you could easily take a snack for breakfast. Like in a small cinch sack.

We met at EPCOT before the tour and walked right by their little coffee/treat stand outside the gate. That might be an option too..
