Railway closure

I have just noticed that the MK railway is due to close for refurb. What will happen to the morning opening ceremony where the characters usually arrive on it? I am going with DD1 who hasnt visited fo 20 years, and I was hoping to start our first day at MK opening just like we did when she was little. No big deal if it aint happening, would have been nice though.
