I apologize if this has been asked recently.
We did get FL resident room discount, but have heard that Florida resident tickets are subject to blackout dates in July. Is this true?

Thank you!

Seasonal passes and Week Day-Select resident tickets are blocked until the 13th or 15th (can't remember which) of August (annually blocked from early June to mid August). Resident Annual Passes are not blocked.

Thank you for answering. I'm thinking of a 3 day base- one day, one park- ticket. I used to purchase at disney store...

There are blackout dates for Regular Florida Resident Passes: June 8, 2013 – August 15, 2013; December 19, 2013 – January 3, 2014.

I was surprised about this when I was doing my research for a trip that I was planning last year.

Ok, thank you for confirming this; I'm really surprised! I know we went in July 3 years ago and used Florida resident passes. Oh well, we are still going : )

Thanks again!

A FL resident SEASONAL pass is blacked out. The FL resident annual pass is not.

There are different passes available throughout the year for FL residents (usually the beginning of the year). They don't need to offer discounts for the busy summer months.

As Melanie said, a Florida Resident AP does not have blackout days but aFL resident Seasonal pass and a FL weekday select pass does. Additionally, the Fl resident 3/4 Day pass has the same blackouts as the seasonal pass.
