Couple's wedding shower gift ideas?

Help! Two of my co-workers are getting married and the folks at the office are throwing a shower for them. They both have sons, so this is the blending of two families. They both have established households, so they don't need "the basics" and haven't even bothered to register for shower/wedding presents.

I desperately need some gift ideas. I'm thinking cash or a gift card for the "big" gift, but I'd like to have a couple of smaller gifts, so there's actually a gift or two to open (this is her first marriage and her only shower). I am an awful shopper...does anyone have any gift suggestions that they might need/enjoy?

A couple of ideas:

Nice sterling silver picture frame
Set of white guest towels (people can always use new towels)
Movie night basket for their family with cute popcorn bowls gourmet popcorn and a movie store gift card
Four tickets to a sporting event for their new family to bond

I really like the idea of something that the 4 of them could use together. Sporting tickets, movie passes, local membership to a park reserve or zoo. Or maybe a gift basket of different items to use around your area.
