I would just like to say thanks.

In most tragedy's there are people who you hear about that keep your faith in humanity.

The women who came to the slain soldiers aid in London.

The teachers who did their best to protect the kids in Oklahoma.

The people who rushed into the bombing area in Boston.

Thank You.

You Keep our faith in people doing the right thing.

Great post. When I saw the title, the first thing I thought of was the video of those running to help the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. Time and time again, the most devastating tragedies bring out the best in us. One of the most inspirational quotes that has made the rounds during recent tragedies is one from Mr. Rogers:

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.' To this day, especially in times of 'disaster,' I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers – so many caring people in this world."

I love when in the face of horrifying events and news, there are people who put their own interests second and the dignity and safety of others first when it would be much easier to walk the other way and hope someone else does it.
