I've watched a few video's and wanted to doublecheck I have my info straight:

Lunch - All 3 rooms (Rose Gallery, West Wing, Ballroom) are open.

Dinner - Only 2 rooms (West Wing, Ballroom) are open.

On both lunch and dinner, are you allowed to choose the room you'd like to eat in? For lunch...do you just walk to where you want to eat or do they seat you somewhere?

With regards to lunch, you are correct, seat yourself in either of the three rooms. When you place your order you sync your order to a "rose" gps hockey puck that you carry to whichever table you sit at. They bring out your order finding you using that gps beacon. Pretty slick.

Haven't done dinner, so can't comment.

At lunch, you can sit at any open table. It doesn't matter where.

At dinner, I don't think you have a choice. Maybe you can make a request?

We did not get a choice for dinner when we ate there, but then went back later in the trip and ate in the other part. The ballroom is nice for dinner since it is a little brighter and the West Wing is pretty dark.

When I checked in for dinner I requested the West Wing and they did honor that request, however just like any requests at Disney, they let you know it is only a request but it doesn't hurt to ask.
