A thank you and it's over

I want to thank my intercot family for being a big support during this process.

It is all over. My dad passed away early this morning. I got the call at 6:40am saying his breathing was getting bad. By the time I arrived at the nursing home he was already gone. He was not alone, the nurse was with him. I was hoping to be there at the time of his passing, but he just went too quick.

I am glad he is now at rest, and no longer suffering. He and my mom are now together again after 22 years.:)

I actually feel a sense of relief. Maybe because of the stress of the waiting and watching him suffer.

We are all angry that the hospital couldn't wait that <those> last few hours.:mad:

Now to get ready for the funeral, on Tuesday.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went thru a similar situation a few years ago with my Dad but we at least were able to keep him in the hospital. May you and your family remember the good times with him. He no longer suffers and is at peace and like you said he has been reunited with your Mom and that is a wonderful blessing.

Oh Scott, I am so sorry. This is one case where I can actually know how someone else feels. You are right... our dads are surely watching over us.

I take comfort in knowing my father can now walk again without his walker. He is bragging to my mom about my DD, and his 2 grandsons. They have 22 years of news to catch up on. I know that one day we will all be together again.
