Toy Story Character Interactions

OK, so i've heard a rumor that if any Toy Story Characters are out and about, and you yell, "Andy's Coming!" that they will stop what they're doing and drop to the ground motionless as if they were real toys.

Is this total hokum? Or would they really do this?
