We usually try to avoid MK on the weekends but that will be our first day at the parks and we want that to be the first park for our kids (6 and 2) to go to. We can handle the crowds and expect it to be really crowded all week. Is is really that much worse on Easter Sunday. We do plan on getting there at 7AM.

Early morning, first thing, shouldn't be too bad, but it will be extremely crowded by ten or eleven. Count on hitting the big attractions early, use your Fastpass, and take advantage of opportunities to enjoy less popular attractions later in the day between FPs when crowds are high. Despite crowds, take the time to soak in details that other people are rushing on by to get to bigger things. And take time to enjoy the parades and shows. Even with the crowds, and there will be crowds, it can be an exciting and memorable day.

My first visit ever to the MK was back when WDW was only the MK for parks, and it was amazing. We entered the park as the afternoon parade was just starting and I will never forget it.

Thank you. Kinda what we were planning. Gotta see that Easter Bunny too. We're expecting to have to wait a while for that. He's there from 9-5.

Also, while it's tempting to stop for photos, treats, souvenirs, etc., resist the tempation and go straight to the big rides. Otherwise you will have hundreds of people walking past you that you will now be behind in line. Do all of those things on the way out of the park.
